What are the results of this year for us? How do we want the year to be? On June 3, at 11:00, join the live event Ukrainian Documentary Filmmakers: Reality check. Round table with the Non-Fiction Cinema Guild. We will talk about the achievements and problems of the industry with Eugene Rachkovsky, Mariia Ponomarova, Zhanna Maksymenko-Dovhych, Yelizaveta Smith, Olha Beskhmelnytsina, Andrii Kotliar, and Natalia Movshovych. On June 6, at 14:00, listen to the online discussion Animated Documentaries: Challenges and Opportunities. We have invited Piotr Kardas, a film curator specializing in animated documentaries, and Alex Widdowson, a London-based director working in the same genre and researching neurodiversity representation and psychology, to discuss the use and creative combination of documentary and animation in cinema. They will also talk about finding a balance between the seemingly limitless potential of animation, on the one hand, and the documentary filmmaker's duty to create authentic and ethical representations of people and the world, on the other hand.
