Meet the jury of DOCU/UKRAINE and DOCU/SHORT of the 22nd Docudays UA

We are pleased to announce the experts who will select the winners of the two competition programmes.

The jury members for the national feature films and the international short documentary competition are Tetiana Oharkova, Ukrainian literary scholar, journalist, essayist, and member of the Ukrainian PEN; Christine Camdessus, General Artistic Director of the Fipadoc International Documentary Film Festival; Marc Bauder, German director and producer.

Tetiana Oharkova received her higher education at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, specializing in cultural studies. In 2007, she defended her dissertation and earned a PhD in Literary Studies (Docteur ès lettres) from Paris-XII Val-de-Marne University. Since 2006, she has taught the history of French literature, literary theory, and the history of the European literary avant-garde at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. She also writes essays on these topics.


In 2020, with Ukrainian philosopher and writer Volodymyr Yermolenko, she launched the podcast Kult, dedicated to key eras in cultural history and iconic authors who influenced the development of literature and culture. She also co-authored the book Life on the Edge. Ukraine, Culture, and War with Volodymyr Yermolenko. Her new book, Kyiv: Spirit and Letter, is currently being prepared for publication. Since 2023, she has founded and hosted the French-language podcast L’Ukraine, face à la guerre.

 

Christine Camdessus is a French producer. She launched her production company in 2001. Among more than 60 creative documentaries distributed worldwide. Christine is the chairwoman of NIPKOW’s jury (Berlin). She was the Vice President of USPA (France's leading TV producers union) from 2014 to 2018 and a member of E.D.N. and E.F.A. In 2013, ALEGRIA received the award for Best Documentary Production company in France. In 2018, Christine became the managing and artistic director of Fipadoc, the International Documentary Film Festival, that takes place in Biarritz, France, during the last week of January. It brings the public and professionals together for screenings of outstanding documentary films. 


Marc Bauder studied business in Cologne, St. Gallen, and New York. He began working as a director during his studies and founded the production company Bauderfilm in 1999. After embarking on a degree in production from HFF Konrad Wolf in Potsdam-Babelsberg in 2001, he broke off his studies after three semesters to concentrate on directing full-time. In 2011, he debuted his award-winning feature film The System. In 2014, Marc won the European Film Prize with his documentary Master of The Universe and developed Lichtgrenze for the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, together with his brother Christopher. In 2017, Marc won the Grimme Prize for his fiction film Dead Man Working. Marc is a member of the European Film Academy and the German Film Academy.
