The DOCU/CLASS 2026 programme events will take place live at the Zhovten Cinema (Classic Hall) from 6 to 10 June. They will be held in the format of public conversations, open to all who wish to join and put questions to the workshop’s speakers — experienced film professionals, curators, and cultural managers.
“DOCU/CLASS brings together panel discussions on the film industry. This year’s programme explores personal perspectives in the post-truth era, the intersections between documentary and sociology, and the journeys of Ukrainian women filmmakers who navigate multiple contexts while presenting their work at home and internationally. We will carry forward last year’s dialogue on (in)sensitivity in documentary cinema, now with a sharper focus on how war transforms the author’s stance. In addition, a special session will address practices for safeguarding the mental health of filmmakers in times of retraumatisation,” said Olga Sydorushkina, curator of the workshop and programmer at Docudays UA.
